has been taken towards improving Auckland’s facility planning
following the go ahead from the Strategic Partners Group
(political representatives from
Councils, Ministry of Health and SPARC senior management) to
form a Working Party to
develop an agreed process for planning and developing regional
facilities. |

From now on, this newsletter
will be
produced three times a year. Since work began this year to
implement our five year Strategy
to improve the delivery of sport and recreation in
Auckland, ARPASS has made solid progress
on a variety of projects and developed and strengthened key
partnerships. |

Sports Trusts of the greater Auckland region and SPARC have reached agreement on
a combined strategy for co-ordinating and strengthening sport within the
Auckland region. |

| > Strategy Document The only way sufficient impact can be made over the next five to ten years, given the rate of growth of these problems, is to co-ordinate the resources of the region and work together collaboratively to solve them.
